Joboxy Privacy Policy

1. Summary

  • Joboxy stores your shift, client, and settings data on your device.

  • We do not operate a cloud account service for Joboxy.

  • We do not sell your personal information.

  • Optional features (location tracking, contacts import, NFC tags, backup files) only use data for those features.

2. Information you provide

You may enter or import:

  • Client details (name, address, phone, notes, and coordinates if an address is geocoded)

  • Shift, job, travel/break, and timeline records

  • App settings (theme, tracking preferences, billing rate, NFC/proximity options, and similar)

  • Optional widget background photo

  • Optional backup files you create or restore

This is stored in a local database and related files on your device.

3. Information from your device

  • Location (optional, for tracking): If you grant location permission and book on, Joboxy may use GPS/network location in the foreground (and, if you allow it, in the background) to classify travel vs still time, estimate distance, and optionally prompt when you arrive near a client address. Location is processed on your device for these features and is not uploaded to our servers.

  • Contacts (optional): If you grant permission and import clients, Joboxy may read name, phone, and address. Contacts are not uploaded to our servers.

  • NFC (optional): If you write or tap Joboxy NFC tags, the App may read/write simple shift actions on the tag. Tag contents stay on the tag and your device.

  • Notifications: Used for the ongoing shift timer, break alarms, and optional proximity job prompts.

  • Network: Internet access may be used to geocode client addresses (turn text addresses into map coordinates). We do not use this to create an online account.

  • Files you create: JSON backups and widget photos you choose may be saved where you pick (for example Downloads or Photos) and are under your control.

4. How we use information

Only to provide Joboxy features: shift tracking, jobs, clients, history, stats, NFC book on/off, proximity prompts, home-screen widget, settings, and backup/restore.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your data. Data may leave the App only when:

  • You export a backup or share a file using another app you choose

  • You restore a backup from a file you select

  • Device or cloud backups (if enabled on your phone) include app data per your system settings

  • Required by law

6. Analytics, advertising, and tracking

Joboxy does not include third-party advertising SDKs or analytics trackers for selling ads.

7. Data retention and deletion

Data stays on your device until you delete it in the App, clear app storage, restore over it from a backup, or uninstall. Uninstall removes local app data on that device unless restored from a backup.

8. Children’s privacy

Joboxy is for work use and is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age).

9. International users

Because data is stored on your device, processing generally occurs where you use the App.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” above will be revised when changes are posted.
